Rudi qualified as an attorney in early 2001 and was admitted as an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa later that same year. He completed his legal articles at Van Der Merwe Du Toit Attorneys and his CA(SA) articles at Rosspienaar, both situated in Pretoria. In 2004, after completing his articles, he started his own legal and tax practice in partnership with Rosspienaar, where he serviced a wide selection of individual and corporate clients.

After conducting business with the Efficient Group as his client, he was presented the opportunity to join Efficient as a full time employee and was subsequently employed as Group Legal and Compliance Manager in January 2011. Soon after joining the group he was also formally appointed as Group Company Secretary. In June 2015 Rudi was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer of the Efficient Group. As such, his duties primarily included change management, with a specific focus on the corporatisation and integration of new business units, while he maintained overall responsibility for the Group’s legal- and compliance functions. On 1 July 2016 Rudi was appointed as the Managing Director of Efficient Advise, and was mandated to lead the consolidation of Efficient Group’s interests in various financial advisory businesses under one, single brand, what is today known as Efficient Wealth.

As Managing Director of Efficient Wealth, Rudi also led the establishment and growth of Efficient Healthcare Consulting and Efficient Insure. Following a restructure of Efficient Group’s operational divisions and the adoption of a new long-term strategy for the Group, Rudi was appointed on 1 June 2021 to his current position of Chief Executive Officer of Efficient Group’s Wealth, Risk and Investment Cluster.
