Dr Jaco du Plessis is a radiologist and partner at SCP Radiology, an established practice that provides medical imaging at 20 locations in the Western Cape.
After receiving his MBChB degree from the University of the Free State, he worked as a registrar in several clinical subspecialities in the UK and as a GP in Canada before starting his post-graduate training. He completed his specialist training in radiology at the University of Stellenbosch in 2010, while contributing several articles to local and international radiology journals. He gained a wealth of experience while serving as a partner in a Gauteng-based practice for 12 years, and contributing his expertise to the executive of the practice and the Radiological Society of South Africa (RSSA). Dr du Plessis is currently serving another two-year term as Executive Committee member for the RSSA. He is also a member of the SCP Management Committee and Branch Manager of the newly established radiology department at Crestcare Malmesbury. He lives by an unwavering commitment to compassionate patient care and looks forward to serving the Swartland community with great dedication.
