Most notably, Tumelo served as General Manager for Property Management at Transnet, where he was responsible for a national portfolio exceeding 7,200 properties with a value of R32 billion and led a team of more than 500 professionals. His experience spans strategy formulation, portfolio optimization, operational governance, sustainability and execution at scale.
Tumelo is an internationally recognised Certified Property Manager (CPM®) and has been recognized by IREM globally for his contribution to the real estate sector. He also holds the local designation from the Institute of Directors of Southern Africa (IoDSA), that is, the Certified Director (Cert. Dir.®) designation.
His combined academic depth and executive experience strengthen Summit Africa’s ability to originate, structure, and manage social infrastructure investments that meet investor return requirements while delivering durable, development aligned outcomes across the continent.
